Specsavers sponsor focused Whitehall Wizards

EXCITEMENT on Collins Avenue. Everybody was waiting for Paul O'Boyle to arrive.

Paul is an optometrist with Specsavers. He had a parcel under his arm.

He presented it to the Whitehall Colmcille secretary, Noeleen Rooney.

It was a lovely new set of jerseys for the U12 girls footballers. The gear was sponsored by Specsavers, Santry.

It's a fitting reward for the Whitehall side who have been in excellent form this season, much to the delight of the mentors, Caroline Kenny, Fionnuala Murphy and Aideen Gray.

"2014 has been a marvellous year," says Caroline. "The numbers continue to grow.

And the girls have given fantastic performances."

One of those most impressed with the attitude and the displays of the Super 12's is the Whitehall ladies football director, Alan Wade.

Alan knows that if every team in the club can match the application of this group, the future is indeed a bright one.

Whitehall's new ground is coming on splendidly, and this talented panel will certainly decorate the turf.

In the meantime, Caroline Kenny echoes the views of all at Colmcilles when she says: "We are extremely grateful to Paul and his team at our local Specsavers in Santry for their ongoing support."
