Zlatan is highest paid in the world
Zlatan Ibrahimovic is the highest-paid player in the world with an eye-watering weekly wage of €438,000 at Manchester United, according to new research.
Figures collated by German investigative journalists claim that the former Sweden captain is paid €22million a year at Old Trafford.
United team-mate Paul Pogba, who set a new record for a transfer fee when he moved to Manchester, is 'only' paid €10m a year but he will get a loyalty bonus of €4m once he moves into the second year of his contract.
However, it was reported last night that FIFA are to look into Pogba's transfer to United from Juventus with claims that the player's agent, Mino Raiola, earned €40m as part of the record-breaking deal.
