Zlatan faces action over Coleman tackle
Manchester United striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic is facing a retrospective English FA ban for a challenge on Everton's Irish defender Seamus Coleman in yesterday's 1-1 draw at Goodison Park.
Ibrahimovic faces an anxious wait to discover if his challenge will be punished by the English football authorities in the coming days.
The Swedish striker landed awkwardly on the Everton right-back after fouling him in the 50th minute, but it was what followed that was deemed particularly nasty.
The United goalscorer caught Coleman with the heel of his boot on the ground.
However, referee Michael Oliver took no action. Coleman failed to recover from the challenge and was substituted 15 minutes later, clutching his head and shoulder.
Coleman's Ireland team-mate James McClean also faces the possibility of retrospective action following a melee at the end of West Brom's win over Watford on Saturday.
Meanwhile, Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool wasted a chance to return to second place in the table, a point behind Chelsea, as they twice surrendered a two-goal lead before eventually losing 4-3 in added time in a thriller at Bournemouth.
