Wenger's focused on adding to squad
ARSENAL manager Arsene Wenger is still attempting to enhance his squad before the close of the summer transfer window, but is also focused on the players already at his disposal.
The Gunners' pursuit of Liverpool striker Luis Suarez continues, while it has been reported that Bayern Munich midfielder Luiz Gustavo is a £17million target.
As Arsenal await a marquee signing which may or may not materialise before the September 2 closure of the transfer window, Wenger believes it is important to look at the players he does have for the start of the season.
"We are in the transfer market and we try still to strengthen our squad," Wenger said.
"It's important as well now to focus on the squad who are already at the club and that you focus on the competition, not only on the transfer market."
Meanwhile, Crystal Palace have confirmed the signing of Arsenal striker Marouane Chamakh on a one-year deal.
