Striker Radamel Falcao will be absent when Chelsea seek a first home win of the season in Wednesday's Champions League Group G clash with Maccabi Tel-Aviv.

The on-loan Monaco striker has a minor problem and his absence is expected to be for one game only, but playmaker Oscar is available following a knee injury.

Goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois is out for around three months following knee surgery, so Asmir Begovic will continue in goal, while defender Papy Djilobodji is not in the Champions League squad.

Provisional squad: Begovic, Ivanovic, Fabregas, Zouma, Rahman, Oscar, Ramires, Hazard, Cuadrado, Mikel, Traore, Pedro, Remy, Costa, Matic, Willian, Cahill, Terry, Blackman, Azpilicueta, Loftus-Cheek, Kenedy, Beeney.
