Sligo bounce back with win over Limerick

Sligo Rovers put their Europa League defeat to Rosenborg behind them to move to within eleven points of fourth-placed Shamrock Rovers in the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division with a 2-0 win over Limerick at the Showgrounds.

The Setanta Cup champions were relatively comfortable throughout but had to wait until the 84th minute to unlock a stubborn Limerick defence as Sean Maguire tapped home from a David Cawley corner.

The Bit o Red rubber stamped the win three minutes into stoppage time at the end of the game after Danny North neatly placed the ball under Limerick goalkeeper Shane Cusack for his 12th goal of the season.
