Salah hoping for green light to seal deal with Liverpool
Mohamed Salah is waiting to be given the green light to complete his protracted move from Roma to Liverpool.
No date has been set for his medical this week as the two clubs have yet to reach an agreement over the transfer fee and payment structure.
However, negotiations led by Liverpool sporting director Michael Edwards have progressed and the Egypt international is expected to become the Reds' second signing of the summer following the acquisition of Dominic Solanke from Chelsea.
Liverpool's initial bid was for £28million with the Serie A outfit demanding close to £40million. The compromise is likely to be around the £35million mark.
Salah, who is currently on holiday in his homeland, could become the Reds' club record buy - an honour which has been held by Andy Carroll since his £35million switch from Newcastle United in 2011.
The former Chelsea winger plundered 19 goals for Roma in all competitions last season.
