Ristila is Rovers boss
New Shamrock Rovers boss Sami Ristila will get straight into his new career at Tallaght Stadium when he takes charge for tomorrow's Dublin derby against St Patrick's Athletic
For the first time in their history, Rovers have appointed a coach from outside of Britain and Ireland as the 42-year-old Finnish native, who had a successful spell with Drogheda United, takes over until the end of the season, though interim boss Stephen Bradley remains on the coaching staff.
"It is great for me to have this opportunity to give the benefit of my experience to the coaching staff at Shamrock Rovers and also to assist in the fantastic development of the club's Academy. The model that the club is following is one that I am very familiar with and I know that I can help with that," said Ristila.
