United striker wants Old Trafford Cup goal with Bailly out for two months

Manchester United star Marcus Rashford has Pep Guardiola's side in his sights as the Old Trafford club try to lift their season tonight.

Rivals United and City, both under fire after a poor run of form, clash in the League Cup at Old Trafford tonight with Guardiola expecting a "serious" challenge, though United are facing into an injury crisis in defence as Eric Bailly will be out for two months.

"I always expect the best from United, not because they lost last weekend. With the quality and experience of Jose and it is 'Man Utd' - that means a lot," says the City boss.

"In my experience as a football player and coach, always they are a good team. It doesn't matter how you play against them at Old Trafford, it doesn't matter if if is a good moment or another moment, it is always difficult.

"A derby is a derby, so it is always special. We are going to play seriously," added Guardiola.

With Zlatan Ibrahimovic on his worst scoring drought in the league in a decade, the focus is on Rashford, who scored the winner away to City in the Premier League last season, only his second Premier League goal, and now he's searching for an Old Trafford goal against their deadly rivals.

"It would be a home goal against City, definitely," he said when asked about his dream goal. "

"Scoring away was a massive moment as well for me, so I can only imagine what a home goal would be like," added the England international.
