RAFA BENITEZ is convinced that he is winning the battle to win over hearts and minds at Stamford Bridge.
Despite a clinical 5-1 Capitol Cup demolition of Leeds United, Chelsea fans still sang anti-Benitez songs at Elland Road last night.
But the Spaniard could hardly contain his pleasure with the win and wasted no time in underlining his belief that the tide is turning.
"If we talk about the second half, we are closer than in other games. The team is improving in every game," he claimed.
"The first half was very good, the second half was amazing. I'm really pleased with them," he gushed.
Benitez is ready to welcome John Terry back after injury but is still uncertain about an exact return date.
"One day he is fine, the next day the knee has some trouble," Benitez said. "Whether it is a week or three days we don't yet know."
