Pat's switch tie to Tallaght

ST PATRICK'S ATHLETIC have announced that their Champions League clash with Polish side Legia Warsaw has been switched to Tallaght Stadium on Wednesday, July 23.

The club had hoped to stage their second round second leg tie at Richmond Park, but following consultation with An Garda Síochána, the club have decided to move the game to Tallaght.

"Due to the anticipated crowd and potential health and safety issues raised by An Garda Síochána, Richmond Park has been deemed an unsuitable venue to host the home leg of our UEFA Champions League qualifier," the club said in a statement.

"The decision has been made after numerous discussions with the local authorities and An Garda Síochána, with Richmond Park always being the club's preferred venue for the tie. We can now confirm that the match will take place on Wednesday 23rd of July, at 7.45 in Tallaght Stadium," concluded the statement.
