Nugent hails Pearson tactics to stun Baggies with late win
David Nugent felt West Brom could not cope with Leicester's tactical switch after the Foxes grabbed a vital win. The Foxes clinched back-to-back victories in the Barclays Premier League to reignite their survival hopes after Saturday's 3-2 win at The Hawthorns.
Boss Nigel Pearson changed to three at the back with Leicester 2-1 down at the break, bringing on Marcin Wasilewski, before Robert Huth and Jamie Vardy then scored late on to seal victory. And striker Nugent, who bagged Leicester's first, believes Pearson's clever move changed the game. Nugent said: "I don't think West Brom knew what hit them. It was attack after attack and wave after wave. In the end we deserved the three points."
