Ndo, O'Brien join Heary
OWEN Heary has added some international heavyweights to his coaching staff at Sligo Rovers in a bid to lift the club off the bottom of the table.
Sligo are last in the table with just two points from six games and Heary has reacted to the poor form by adding ex-internationals Joseph Ndo and Liam O'Brien to his staff.
Ndo, who appeared at the World Cup finals for Cameroon, was a team-mate with Heary at Shelbourne and Bohemians while O'Brien - capped 16 times by Ireland - coached Heary at Bohs.
"It's definitely good to have them both on board. Liam brings a lot of experience here. He has played at the highest level for clubs like Manchester United and Newcastle United and been an international with Ireland. He has also coached at a high level with Hibernians and brings plenty of experience to our staff," says Heary.
"Joseph will bring some new ideas to the coaching side. He has only recently finished playing and will be able to bring that experience into coaching. I think that they can both bring a lot to the club and help improve results," he added ahead of tomorrow's clash with Galway.
