More to life than . . .
After losing his job at Ipswich, Keane was concerned he might never get a job again.
"I thought I might not get back but I wouldn't say I feared about it. When you're an ex-player, especially for United, there are always opportunities there.
"I could go into gigs, I could do a gig every day of the week if I wanted to but I would be bored to death of it. I said in the book if things went pear-shaped at Villa and here and I ended up out of work then there is more to life than football.
"I hope that doesn't sound too heavy. I wouldn't be sitting around waiting for the phone to go.
"Somebody asked me earlier about the Celtic situation, I don't sit around waiting for people to lose their jobs thinking 'I can do that'. Football doesn't work like that."
