Modric looks a Real worry
Real Madrid have confirmed that Luka Modric has strained ligaments in his right knee and must now wait to see when the influential midfielder will be available again.
Modric, who only came back from a four-month injury lay-off in March, was substituted in the second half of Real's 3-1 home win over Malaga on Saturday after damaging his knee.
The Croatia international underwent tests yesterday and he could be sidelined for up to six weeks. Real are also sweating on the fitness of Gareth Bale, who limped off after four minutes with a calf problem. Carlo Ancelotti's men are back in action on Wednesday when they host Atletico Madrid in the second leg of their Champions League quarter-final, having drawn the first meeting 0-0.
