Millwall ready for bids for Republic of Ireland stopper David Forde
RELEGATED Millwall say they will be prepared for summer bids for their Ireland keeper David Forde.
The Galway native is expected to leave the Lions in the wake of their demotion to League One, and Championship rivals Reading, Derby County and Fulham have already been linked with Forde.
“We have to monitor what happens with David Forde," says Millwall CEO Andy Ambler, the club preparing for major changes as 18 players have already been released. Forde only signed a new three-year deal last season and while it's thought that his wages would be affected by the drop into League One, the main motivation for Forde would be to play at a higher level so he can retain his place in the Ireland squad.
