McNair and Love to cost £5m while clubs set to lure Schweini
Manchester United are set to bag over £5m for Paddy McNair and Donald Love as manager Jose Mourinho trims his squad.
The Old Trafford academy products are on the verge of signing for ex-United boss David Moyes at Sunderland.
The Black Cats are expected to to shell out £5m on Northern Ireland international defender McNair and £500,000 on Rochdale-born defender Love.
McNair was one of the first of United's youngsters to be handed a first team opportunity when Louis van Gaal took over as boss in the summer of 2014.
The 21-year-old from Ballyclare made 14 starts and four sub appearances in the Dutchman's first season but dropped off the pace last campaign making just four starts and five substitute appearances.
Love was an Under-21 regular for Warren Joyce's side and during United's injury crisis last term the versatile right back came on as a sub at Sunderland and started in the embarrassing Europa League defeat to Midtjylland in Denmark in February.
Moyes took over at the Stadium of Light from new England boss Sam Allardyce last month.
He is also being linked with a move for Marouane Fellaini and Adnan Januzaj.
Meanwhile, unwanted United midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is attracting significant interest, with English clubs understood to be among those eyeing a move for the former Germany captain.
A year after joining from Bayern Munich to much fanfare, the 32-year-old midfielder looks set to be on the move once again.
Mourinho's arrival has seen Schweinsteiger frozen out, but the out-of-favour midfielder is attracting widespread interest, with English clubs among those keen to bring him in.
United appear confident of selling the midfielder and do not expect wages to prove a stumbling block, while it is understood Juan Mata, sold by Mourinho during their time at Chelsea, looks set to stay Old Trafford.
