Harry flattered but insists he's committed to Spurs
LOUIS van Gaal is wasting his time chasing Harry Kane, according to former Spurs boss Harry Redknapp.
Kane claimed he was "flattered" by interest from Old Trafford but that he is committed to Spurs after England's opening defeat by Portugal in the Euro Under 21 Championships.
"I am happy at Spurs and I look forward to the future with Spurs," he said. "I have seen there is interest but that's all I know. It is flattering for other clubs to maybe be interested."
Rednapp believes there would be a major backlash at White Hart Lane if chairman owner Daniel Levy sold Kane.
"If Harry Kane left Tottenham there would be uproar. It would send out all the wrong signals to Tottenham fans.
"I don't think Daniel Levy will sell Harry. He knows what that would do to the club."
Van Gaal should have better luck with another target, Valencia's Argentine centre-back Nicolas Otamendi who has underlined his agent Eugenio Lopez's claim that he would do "everything he possibly can" to secure a move away from the Spanish club.
"I've spoken with my agent and Valencia know what I want. Therefore, every word my agent has said has obviously been with my permission and he has my full permission to talk to who he wants," he said.
