Liverpool in negotiations with Viola over Borini sale
Fiorentina are in negotiations with Liverpool over a deal for striker Fabio Borini.
Fiorentina officials met with their Liverpool counterparts in London last night to try and finalise a deal for the Italian.
La Viola faced Chelsea in a friendly at Stamford Bridge last night and the club's board are desperate to thrash out terms before they return to Italy.
Fiorentina are also trying to negotiate a deal with Chelsea to bring Mohamed Salah to Italy and are keen to complete a double swoop before the end of the week.
Borini and Liverpool are eager to part ways this summer after the Italian forward endured a miserable 2014/15 season on Merseyside.
Brendan Rodgers has made a number of signings in the attacking department this summer and wants to offload Borini, who still has two years left on his contract, before the season begins.
Borini was Rodgers' first signing as Liverpool boss in the summer of 2012, having previously worked with the forward at Chelsea and Swansea.
