Jesus is unlikely to play until next season
Manchester City revelation Gabriel Jesus will have to wait until next season for his second coming.
After a stunning start to his Premier League career since City bought him in January, Jesus broke his leg against Bournemouth two weeks ago.
Pep Guardiola reckons he won't see him again on a pitch until the season is over.
"Last night he had an operation, it was good, really good. The most important thing now is a good recovery," claimed Guardiola.
"When will he be fit? I don't know if it will be the end of the season or next season. All our support to him and his family and waiting for when he is coming back.
"I don't know if he will return this season. I don't know. People say between two to three months."
With Sergio Aguero waiting in the wings to step back into a front-line role for City, Guardiola has no concerns about the man who was dropped to make way for the 19-year-old Brazilian prodigy.
"It's not easy for the player who does not play. Sergio was more than professional. I don't have doubts about Sergio.
"He has to do what he has done since the beginning of his career. Nothing more."
