Irish target Crowley told off by boss
Potential Ireland recruit Daniel Crowley has been given a talking-to about his behaviour during a spell on loan.
Arsenal man Crowley, who has played at U20 level for England but is also being tracked by Martin O'Neill, is on loan from the Gunners to League One strugglers Oxford United, but their boss Michael Appleton is not happy.
"There are a couple of issues I want to make sure are addressed in terms of what he does on and off the field," said Appleton of Crowley, who has scored three goals in 11 games for United.
"He's a 19-year-old lad who has fantastic ability, but his professionalism at times lets him down. He's had a few issues at Arsenal and Barnsley previously.
"It's all a massive learning curve for him. Ultimately, sometimes when people step out of line you have to put them in their place."
