Ibrahimovic named in Swedish squad
SWEDEN have called on all their big names for their vital World Cup qualifier in Dublin.
Sweden coach Erik Hamren, under pressure to deliver a runner-up spot for the Swedes, has picked a strong-looking panel for their two games, away to Ireland (September 6) and away to Kazakhstan (September 10).
"It will be a tough match away to Ireland. They are hard to beat on their own turf," said coach Hamren. Paris St Germain star Zlatan Ibrahimovic, who has scored 44 goals in his 91 appearances for the national team, is included for the trip to Dublin, while Aiden McGeady's Spartak Moscow teammate Kim Kallstrom is also back in favour.
Fulham forward Alexander Kacaniklic has been named in the squad, one of six British-based players in their squad alongside Mikael Lustig (Celtic), Jonas Olsson (West Brom), Martin Olsson and Johan Elmander (both Norwich) and Seb Larsson (Sunderland). Tobias Hysen, son of former Liverpool star Glenn, is also in the squad.
