THE Premier League's big guns will be lining up to sign Ireland striker Shane Long in the January window, according to Long's international team-mate Stephen Hunt.
Long has scored five league goals for West Brom this season as the Baggies moved up to third place in the English Premier League table, form which has attracted interest from bigger clubs.
Last week manager Steve Clarke insisted that the Tipperary player was not for sale, but a big offer could tempt West Brom to cash in and make a profit on the 25-year-old.
"He has matured and he has turned into a fabulous striker. In my eyes he's the best striker in the Premier League at the moment," Long's Ireland team-mate Hunt (right) told the Evening Herald.
"His team are third in the league and he is leading the line really well.
"I think he is the one that everyone will be after in the transfer window. I think he will be the player that the media will all be talking about, he could get the biggest move of the window and rightly so.
"He has got his head down, he has lived the right lifestyle and he's getting the rewards."
