Hoops go for Bradley
Shamrock Rovers will confirm Stephen Bradley as their permanent first-team manager this week, if the 31-year-old decides to accept the offer.
The Hoops have been assessing applications for the post since Pat Fenlon was dismissed in July and while there was a lot of cross-channel interest in the Rovers job, the board are likely to stay local in their hunt for what would be their fourth permanent manager in four years.
It's thought that Bradley, who has been acting as caretaker since the summer, was offered the post last week and will inform the board in the next 24 hours if he wants to take it on. Rovers added Sami Ristila to their coaching staff last month to comply with regulations on coaching qualifications but Bradley says he has applied to enrol on the FAI's Pro Licence course.
