Forrester hails 'best moment at Posh' with winner in derby
Former St Patrick's Athletic hero Christopher Forrester admits that he lost the run of himself after scoring a last-minute winner for Peterborough United in their local derby.
Peterborough take on League One leaders Scunthorpe United tomorrow, a fifth-placed Posh side keen to stay in the chase for promotion. They go into that game on the back of a five-game winning streak, their latest win courtesy of Forrester's late strike away to Northampton Town on Saturday, the captain's third goal of the season.
"I got a bit carried away but it's a goal in the 90th minute, it's bound to happen, it was good to give the fans something back," said Forrester.
"That's been the best moment since I came here, hopefully the fans remember me for a while after scoring that goal.
"I have three goals this season now, I hope I can keep chipping away, I am playing a more advanced role now so hopefully I can contribute a few more," added the 23-year-old, appointed club captain earlier this season.
