Éamonn Fitzmaurice says he always felt that if Kerry "were to win the All-Ireland this year, we'd probably have to beat Dublin somewhere along the line."

Speaking at Kerry's pre All-Ireland final press conference in Killarney last night, the Kingdom's manager said it wasn't "a huge surprise," that football's most storied rivals would meet again on Sunday week.

"They've seen plenty of us," Fitzmaurice added. "I've been at a share of their games and while things have changed and moved on from 2013, they haven't changed that much. It's going to be a great challenge for us."

Fitzmaurice added, of Dublin's replayed victory over Mayo last Saturday: "I would imagine they were disappointed with their discipline the first day, I don't think it helped them.

"I think they were noticeably disciplined in the replay and won comfortably in the end."
