Fellaini to stay a Blue – Martinez

EVERTON boss Roberto Martinez is confident Marouane Fellaini is not interested in leaving the club.

The 25-year-old Belgium midfielder, who has a release clause in his contract, has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal or to join up with former Toffees boss David Moyes at Manchester United.

But Moyes' replacement is not concerned.

Martinez said: "I don't think it is an issue. You are not talking about a player who is out of the squad or in negotiations with another club. I won't look to speak to him about this because there is nothing to speak about.

"What I want is him to be ready for the next season, to be ready to take an important role at the club and understand that it is a big season for him.

"As an individual, he has got an exciting year in front of him and I don't think he is personally thinking, 'Am I going to be here?' I don't think that's in his head."

Lewandowski 'staying put'

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly ruled out striker Robert Lewandowski's proposed switch to Bundesliga rivals Bayern Munich – for this year at least.

Dortmund chief executive Hans-Joachim Watzke said: "Lewandowski will definitely not move to Bayern in 2013. That's definitive! We've now told Robert and his advisors that."

Lewandowski, who has one year remaining on his contract with Dortmund, had indicated his willingness to join Bayern during the off-season transfer window.

Dortmund sports director Michael Zorc confirmed his club's stance, but it is estimated Dortmund would lose a possible transfer fee of 330million to keep the 24-year-old Polish international for another year.
