Doyle helps Hibs to Cup win
FORMER Sligo Rovers man Eoin Doyle was relieved to see Hibernians into the next round of the Scottish Cup after marking his full debut for the side with a goal.
Pat Fenlon's side had to come from a goal down to overcome Cowdenbeath 3-2 on Saturday, Dubliner Doyle scoring on 27 minutes.
"It was nice to score in my first start. I thought I should maybe have had one or two before that and I should have scored the first chance I got but was glad to score on the rebound," said Doyle.
"The only thing we can do is look at the positives of getting the first win for the manager. Obviously we have a massive game next week against Dunfermline and hopefully now we can push on and get a great result there."
Fenlon said: "I was delighted to see Eoin score. He isn't as fit as he could be but he is getting there and I am very pleased with him."
