Danes wary of Derry threat
Derry City's European opponents insist they will not underestimate the Brandywell side in tonight's Europa League battle.
Danish side Midtjylland have a proud European history behind them, including a run in the Europa League two seasons ago which saw them knock out Southampton and also beat Manchester United over 90 minutes.
Derry come into the game on the back of indifferent form in the league and the Danes are favourites to advance but Midtjylland manager Jess Thorup, despite being able to call on a number of senior internationals including Rafael van der Vaart, urges caution.
"It's a big advantage for Derry City that they are in the middle of their season. My players have been away for 14 days on holiday," he says.
"They've been gone from football for 14 days and haven't practiced but we are as ready as we can be and everybody is aware that this can be a very difficult game. So we are prepared."
Derry are without the injured Barry McNamee and Conor McDermott.
