City still without Kompany
Manchester City will be without captain Vincent Kompany and key midfielder Yaya Toure for today's visit of Newcastle in the Premier League.
Kompany is not yet fit to return from a calf injury while Toure is still troubled by the hamstring problem which restricted him to 45 minutes at Borussia Monchengladbach in midweek.
On the positive side, defender Eliaquim Mangala has overcome a groin injury and strikers Wilfried Bony and Kelechi Iheanacho are back in contention but playmaker Samir Nasri (hamstring) is still out and midfielder Fabian Delph (hamstring) and left-back Gael Clichy (ankle) are long-term absentees.
Meanwhile, Martin Demichelis has been awarded City's first goal from their win over Monchengladbach after UEFA listened back to the conversation between match officials at the time the ball crossed the line.
Demichelis turned the ball home in the 65th minute as City looked to cancel out Lars Stindl's opener, but it was hooked out from over the line.
Nicolas Otamendi struck the rebound with his shot deflected in by Borussia defender Andreas Christensen.
