IRELAND U21 cap Samir Carruthers is hungry for more success after netting the first goal of his club career for MK Dons

Carruthers (pictured), on loan to the Dons from Aston Villa, was on target in their 2-2 draw with Bristol City, with former Ireland youth cap Patrick Bamford also on the scoresheet. "It's the greatest feeling to score," he said. "That was my first professional goal of my career, so I had the best feeling. I was a big bundle of energy and just went crazy! But it was important for me and Patrick to score.

"I want to play here, get goals and assists and help the team. If I start, if I come off the bench, I'll give it everything I've got and if it's good enough for the gaffer then he'll put me in the team. I'll just keep doing what I'm doing, hopefully it'll impress him and the players here and maybe I'll be able to cement myself in the first team."
