Manchester City are without star striker Sergio Aguero for their Champions League Group D opener against Juventus at the Etihad Stadium with a knee injury.

But attackers David Silva and Raheem Sterling are both set to return after missing Saturday's win at Crystal Palace with ankle and hamstring problems respectively.

Midfielders Samir Nasri and Fernandinho are expected to shake off minor knocks but weekend goal hero Kelechi Iheanacho is ineligible and midfielder Fabian Delph and full-backs Gael Clichy and Pablo Zabaleta are still out.

Provisional squad: Hart, Caballero, Sagna, Kompany, Mangala, Demichelis, Otamendi, Kolarov, Silva, Nasri, Sterling, Navas, Toure, Fernando, Fernandinho, Bony, De Bruyne, Maffeo, Barker, Garcia, Ambrose.
