Begovic: We can beat Irish in normal time
Bosnian keeper Asmir Begovic believes that 90 minutes will be enough time for his side to outwit Martin O'Neill's outfit and win a place at Euro 2016 at the expense of Ireland.
Given Ireland's habit of playing our 1-1 draws in this campaign (five of our 11 games so far in Euro 2016 campaign have finished 1-1), a repeat could be on the cards at a sold-out Lansdowne Road tonight, sending the tie to added time and even penalties.
Chelsea keeper Begovic would be a key figure in any shoot-out but he predicts that Bosnia can do enough against Ireland in normal time to finish the job. "We will prepare for everything, it could go to extra time and penalties tonight so we will cross the 90 minutes first and hopefully get the result we want and need in the 90 minutes," said Begovic.
"We are ready to take on anything and we'll do our best to win the game, hopefully in the 90 minutes. It will be a great atmosphere, a full stadium and a very, very big Irish crowd, but we'll have some of our fans there as well, as players we look forward to playing in front of these environments."
