Aways days bring out best in the Saints

St Patrick's Athletic are enjoying life on the road of late as they came home from their trip west - and moved into the top four - with a 4-1 win over Galway United.

Home form has at times been disappointing but Liam Buckley's men have now taken 10 points from the last four away games and this win tees them up nicely for next week's home meeting with Shamrock Rovers.

Goals from Killian Brennan (25 minutes) and Conan Byrne (39) gave Pats a 2-0 lead at the break, and while a Dave O'Leary goal three minutes after the restart gave Galway some hope, Ciarán Kilduff made sure of the win by making it 3-1 on 66 minutes after following through on Christopher Forrester's ball, and Conan Byrne then added a fourth.

In this evening's Premier Division action, Longford Town take on Derry City at the City Calling Stadium (kick-off 7.30pm), with Sligo Rovers entertaining fellow strugglers Limerick at the Showgrounds (kick-off 7.45pm).
