Shane Lawlor (Dublin South)

THERE was a lot of exciting talent on show in O'Toole Park on Monday evening, when Dublin South and Dublin North competed in the Leinster Schools' Juvenile Hurling 'A' League semi-final. The southside representatives narrowly edged the contest in the end (on a scoreline of 2-15 to 3-11), and full-forward Shane Lawlor played a major part in their success.

Lawlor was a constant threat on the edge of the square for South, and with an impressive haul of 2-1 (all of which was amassed during a frantic second period) contributing handsomely to his team's cause, he is a worthy recipient of this week's award.
