Run world's oldest race!

Clonliffe '2'

Who would have thought that the world's oldest road race took place not only in Ireland but in Dublin's northside?

Next Thursday May 14 (8.0), the 124th edition of the Clonliffe '2' takes place at Santry - not too far away from its traditional route from Finglas to Glasnevin, which ended at the fourth gate of Glasnevin cemetary.

Sponsoring the prizes is Eugene Kavanagh of the Gravedigger's pub, himself one of Ireland's pioneering multi-marathon runners.

Entry is €15 or €10 junior; registration in the Clonliffe clubhouse from 6.30pm.
