Te'o gets first start for Blues at No 13

Carmarthen v Leinster A

Today 2.30

Ben Te'o (pictured below) will make his Leinster debut at outside centre in the British & Irish Cup at Camarthen this afternoon.

The nature of the position, especially in defence, is the closest comparison to what he did for the South Sydney Rabbitohs in the National Rugby League.

By all accounts, Carmarthen's Steffan Hughes will have to brace himself for contact with Te'o.

The province will look to make it three straight in pursuit of a three in a row in this competition with Steve Crosbie wearing the armband, Cathal Marsh starting at ten and Billy Dardis at full-back.

There has been solid progress already made by props Peter Dooley, who is a real hot prospect, and Oisin Heffernan.

It would seem that the experiment of moving Jordan Coghlan to twelve is over as he returns to his original number eight jersey.

Carmarthen: S Evans; L Williams, S Hughes, R Williams, F Climo; J Lewis, K Hardy; W Jones, T Myhill, P Edwards, B Griffiths, R Kelly (capt), S Jones, W Boyde, P Day. Leinster: B Dardis; S Coghlan-Murray, B Te'o, S Crosbie (capt), C Kelleher; C Marsh, N McCarthy; P Dooley, A Dundon, O Heffernan, G Thornbury, B Marshall, P Timmins, J van der Flier, J Coghlan.

Verdict: Leinster
