Ruddock is hurt in Tbilisi
Emerging Ireland moved to within one match of winning The Tbilisi Cup with a comfortable bonus-point 33-7 win over Uruguay in Georgia yesterday, writes Des Berry..
It is not clear what cost the price of victory will be for Ireland coach Joe Schmidt as captain and World Cup contender Rhys Ruddock was forced off with an injury in the 20th minute.
On initial viewing, it didn't look too serious, although Ruddock has been plagued by a forearm problem this season.
Twenty-year-old wing Cian Kelleher was a debut try-scorer beside Andrew Conway, John Cooney and Ben Marshall, all three formerly out of the Leinster Academy, as the fifth came from a penalty try.
The Irish will meet the hosts Georgia in the decisive match on Sunday.
