Ringrose called up as O'Mahony pick contradicts Foley
It looks like Munster coach Anthony Foley may have jumped the gun by ruling Peter O'Mahony out for the rest of the season.
The curious case of O'Mahony climbed in interest when the flanker was included in Joe Schmidt's 44-long squad to congregate for a one-day National Camp on Sunday.
There is no room for Tommy Bowe, despite his return to action in an 'A' Inter-provincial against Munster last week.
The rationale behind that would appear to be the fact that Bowe would be better served by continuing to improve his fitness at home.
The same goes for Luke Fitzgerald, who should play a significant part for Leinster tomorrow night.
There is no doubt the veteran wing will be included as long as he can recover his form.
Leinster pair Garry Ringrose and Luke McGrath are two of four uncapped players listed.
The continuing good form of Connacht is reflected in the presence of back-three strike runner Matt Healy and second row Quinn Roux.
It brings to five the number of men from the Western Province involved, although the recently concussed Nathan White is outside the circle for now.
This may have something to do with the need to extend the experience of Finlay Bealham and Tadhg Furlong as Marty Moore also misses out.
