O'Connor deserves to see out his contract
Under-pressure Matt O'Connor (left) would not be drawn on the status of his contract as Leinster head coach.
"We take no notice of the noise," he said, after losing out 25-20 in extra-time of the Champions Cup semi-final.
"It's nothing that we can control. We get on with what we do and I thought we showed that today."
There has been consistent chat about the precarious nature of O'Connor's position as Leinster's form has lurched from bad to worse over the last month.
However, the players showed their faith in him by delivering a performance of real passion and intelligence in pushing Toulon to their limit in Marseille.
"It showed that we can compete against probably the best club side ever put together," said O'Connor.
The Australian's three-year contract is set to run until the summer of 2016 and judgment should be suspended until he has had a season working with a world-class out-half in Jonathan Sexton.
