Kane Douglas out for rest of season
Kane Douglas (above) will miss the rest of Leinster's season to undergo an operation on a disc in his back.
"It initially started out as a hamstring problem and we thought we could get through it and manage," said Leinster coach Matt O'Connor.
"But, we now know that Kane has got a significant disc issue in his back that will require surgery.
"He saw a specialist earlier this week and they're booking in with our medical team a slot for surgery.
"It's a pretty standard procedure and fingers crossed he should be good as gold in that time-frame."
The 25-year-old Wallaby will take three months to recover from the setback.
Meanwhile, wing Fergus McFadden (concussion) and hooker Richardt Strauss (head) are expected to come through their recovery process from injury to compete for places against Toulon.
The outlook is not as certain about Shane Jennings, who will struggle to make the squad anyway based on O'Connor's recent selection of Jordi Murphy and the availability of Dominic Ryan.
