Gaffney in to wing it

The narrow defeat to England (19-14) takes Ireland back to the pack where three nations have two wins, the others being England and France as they take on Wales tonight (KO 7.45, live RTÉ 2).

"We have addressed the key areas against England and hopefully we can take our chances when they come along," said coach Nigel Carolan (inset).

Wing Ciaran Gaffney, lock Cian Romaine and back rowers Nick Timoney and Conor Oliver are new.

Wales coach Chris Horsman makes four changes too back at the venue where they beat England (21-15) in round one before losing out to Scotland (36-34) and France (27-25).
