France to 'hunt down' marked man Johnny Sexton

Jonathan Sexton's former Racing Metro team-mate Eddy Ben Arous has promised to "hunt him down as often as possible" at The Millennium Stadium on Sunday.

The prop is the latest in a line of French players to come out and look to apply pre-match pressure to the fly-half.

"I know that he is slow in getting rid of the ball, so I am going to try to put the maximum pressure on him," said prop Ben Arous.

"We are going to go after him 200% because he is the strong man of this team."

This comes hot on the heels of Metro coach Laurent Labit's claim Sexton was, at times, uncontrollable in how he treated his team-mates in Paris and full-back Brice Dulin's call for France to suffocate him.

It is not the first time Sexton has been targeted by France.

They made it their business to get to the Irish general in the last two Six Nations.

The French see the removal of the 30-year-old as the key to beating Ireland for the first time in five attempts as the winners move through to a quarter-final against Argentina, while the losers play against New Zealand.
