Byrne set to start for UCD

PREVIEWS: AIL

ULSTER BANK ALL-IRELAND LEAGUE

(all matches Tomorrow 2.30 unless stated)

DIVISION 1A

UCD v ST MARY'S, BELFIELD BOWL, TONIGHT 7.30

SECOND row Emmet MacMahon will lead a UCD club boasting the usual array of Age Grade internationals with Ireland U20 fly-half Ross Byrne set to start.

There is a solid base of AIL experience too with full-back Andy Boyle, hooker Risteard Byrne, flanker Josh van der Flier and Shane Grannell.

St Mary's coach Peter Smyth will have to do without utility back Dave Fannagan, who was concussed against Old Belvedere last week.

Back five forward Keelan McKenna has returned from a stint with the Toulouse Espoirs to join new signings in hooker Richie Allen and wing Conor Toolan.

CLONTARF v YOUNG MUNSTER, CASTLE AVENUE

COACH Andy Wood has signed Barnhall duo Rob McGrath, the younger brother to Mick, and Michael Brown into the backline and ex-Trinity wing Ariel Robles.

Scrum-half Sam Cronin will lead the side with fellow Ireland Clubs international half-back David Joyce expected to control matters from ten for the champions.

LANSDOWNE v DOLPHIN, AVIVA STADIUM (back pitch)

RON BOUCHER will shoulder the responsibility of captaincy from the back row out of which Lansdowne have lost Charlie Butterworth and Clive Ross to Ulster.

Hooker Tyrone Moran returns from a spell at Leinster and impressive Ireland U20 Cian Kelleher should start at full-back

OLD BELVEDERE v CORK CON, ANGLESEA ROAD

COACH Paul Cunningham will look to make a solid start given they have stitched together three straight wins in the Leinster Senior League.

The highly-rated Rory O'Loughlin and ex-Trinity lock Jack Kelly should be a big addition with super-consistent Jonathan Slattery wearing the armband for the season.

Terenure College v Ballynahinch, Lakelands Park.

The champions from 1B will be keen to show they mean business back in the big league.

Coach James Blaney will draw on the players that got them there, though captain James O'Neill is an injury doubt.

DIVISION 1B

GALWEGIANS v DUBLIN UNIVERSITY, CROWLEY PK

DIRECTOR of Rugby Tony Smeeth has worked his magic to bring United States Eagle international Tim Maupin to the AIL with centre Paddy Lavelle captain for the season.
