IT'S the Heineken Cup final - Leinster v Northampton Saints in the Millennium Stadium. Leinster are way behind and success seems beyond their grasp.
Is there anything more nerve-racking? How about trying to rescue fishermen from a sinking 33-ton trawler in the dark in severe gale force winds?
Fred Connolly (pictured) is a lifelong Leinster supporter, and has been a volunteer crew member with Howth RNLI for 18 years. There have been times when his dedication to Leinster and the RNLI have clashed, like when his pager went off on his way to a match. He was too far from Howth to make it back, so on that occasion he got to see his beloved Blues play.
Last weekend, he wasn't so lucky, as the weather delayed his Dublin flight for hours and forced him to watch the Exeter game on the Isle of Wight.
