All Blacks legend Mils Muliaina to leave Connacht for Zebre
Mils Muliaina will leave Connacht at the end of the season and join Pro12 outfit Zebre after just one year at the Sportsground.
The 34-year-old has made just nine starts for Pat Lam's side since he moved from Super Rugby side the Chiefs, with his last appearance coming against Cardiff at the start of last month.
Ironically, the New Zealander made his debut for Connacht against Zebre when Pat Lam’s men ran out 43-3 winners at the Sportsground in November and has signed a one-year deal with the Italians.
Muliaina, who is one of just five men to win 100 caps for the All Blacks, has been hampered by elbow and hamstring injuries since his move to Galway, but has been heralded as a real influence in the camp as part of the mentor role handed to him by Lam.
“Even in one quick year, Mils has made a lasting contribution to Connacht Rugby. His influence on and off the field with our young squad has been invaluable and I know the players, particularly the backs, have benefited from his vast experience,” said Lam
