peamount hit kilmore for 8

This season's DWSL Premier Cup final will see a couple of old rivals go head to head as Peamount United and St. Catherine's clash in what is set to be a classic decider.

United roared into this prestigious final, the top cup in the league, after they hammered Kilmore by eight goals to three in an epic last-four encounter.

This was the third meeting between the two sides this season, the previous encounters in the league had ended up with a win apiece, but this time around Peamount left nothing to chance.

GUTSY

The Saints booked their passage to the final thanks to a gutsy victory over St Joseph's Girls in what turned out to be yet another entertaining last four clash.

The date and venue of this prestige final is still to be determined.

This coming Wednesday will see both the Intermediate Cup and the Intermediate Shield go down to the last four stage.

In the Inter Cup, Garda will take on Balbriggan's finest, Glebe North, while Monaghan United meet Mulhuddart.

CONFIDENCE

United have already beaten the Dublin side on home soil this season in the league, but Mulhuddart have racked up a few wins since then to get their confidence back and this one could go to the wire.

The semi-finals of the Intermediate Shield have also thrown up a couple of top quality ties. Rathnew, who defeated Walkinstown in the quarter- final by five goals to two, will meet Ballyfermot, who also hit five in the quarter-finals when dispatching Lexlip United.

The second semi-final pairs Rush Athletic against Enniskerry, who were four goals to two conquers of St. James Gate in the quarter-finals.
