Deadline for Carlow manager position looms

The Carlow and District Football League is looking to appoint a manager for their League Representative team for this upcoming season's FAI Umbro Oscar Traynor Trophy competition.

Those interested must have managerial experience at the highest level in junior football or above and full FAI coaching certificates.

Applications and CV with all relevant details by email only to Noel Jordan at dcu@carlowsoccer.ie. Closing date for applications is Friday 16 August 2013.

SUMMER SOCCER SCHOOLS CONTINUE

The eFlow FAI Summer Soccer School programme enters its 17th year in 2013. Over the years, the camps have grown to become the largest programme in the Grassroots Department of the Football Association of Ireland.

The camps aim to provide children between the ages of 6 and 14 the opportunity to attend a week-long football-oriented summer camp over the holiday period.

Every year boys and girls of all abilities turn out to enjoy five days of fun and football. It doesn't matter if you're just a beginner or if you have your sights set on Robbie Keane's number 10 shirt, you will get a lot out of the Summer Soccer Schools.

The FAI are proud of the highest standards of child safety and welfare maintained on their camps, with constant supervision and Garda vetting of all FAI qualified coaches.

Football is, ultimately, a game, and at the eFlow FAI Summer Soccer Schools they believe games should be fun. While participants will learn new skills and tricks, the most important element of their camps is that they are fun and that all children enjoy them.

The camps are fully inclusive, so if your child has a disability he/she is more than welcome. If your child requires additional assistance, the organisers will get a coach in to specifically ensure that your child has a fantastic experience.

Every child should have access to play football, and they recognise that sometimes it's just a little extra assistance that will enable them to flourish. When you're making your booking, be sure to flag if your child's condition warrants one-to-one coaching and they will take care of it.

Last local County Carlow camps are as follows:

IT Carlow, Kilkenny Road, Carlow from August 19 to 23 inclusive. Book online at www.summersoccerschools.ie or call 1890 653 653 to avail of family discounts.

Free ticket offers, adult and child, for Republic of Ireland games in the Aviva Stadium. All participants will get the new FAI Summer Soccer Schools Kit, Backpack and Football. Camps cost €65 and for the family discount you get €10 each additional sibling.
