When Carl Frampton relieved Kiko Martinez of his European super-bantamweight belt in Belfast in February, the stewards refused to admit Willie "Big Bang" Casey to the post-fight press conference.
"They don't want to see me," said Casey. The snub didn't prevent his people throwing out a challenge to Frampton, who was bitterly disappointed when an ear injury in sparring scuppered his first bout work Frank Warren's Box Nation.
But while Frampton and his manager Barry McGuigan have yet to name an opponent for The Jackal's bout in Belfast in October, it won't be Casey.
"No disrespect to Willie," tweeted Frampton. "But I want to fight for world titles. Next fight must be a highly rated fighter."
