Optimists can back Irish at 9/1 to win group outright
soccer: euro 2016 qualifying
John O'Shea's last-gasp equaliser against Germany was fairytale stuff but the reality of it means Ireland are joint-top of Group D along with Poland and as short as 5/4 to qualify for France 2016 with Boylesports.
Despite just having four points and only managing to get a single goal in 180 minutes against Poland and Ireland, World champions Germany remain the long odds-on favourites to win the group at 1/5, with Poland next best at 13/2.
Optimists who think Ireland can go through as group winners can have a few quid on at 9/1 or 150/1 to just win the competition outright!
Group D Winner: Germany 1/5, Poland 13/2, Ireland 9/1, Scotland 20/1
